Cedarville Hotel

This gem in Les Cheneaux island area was better than expected. The room was comfortable and roomy. The lobby had a fireplace and seating. A cold breakfast started our day out right. The rooms were very clean. An apartment size refrigerator and microwave were appreciated. Some rooms have whirlpool bath tubs.

The crew at the Cedarville Hotel are always very welcoming and offer great northern hospitality. Looking forward to another stay soon!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay Cedarville Hotel very much. It was quiet, clean and price was not bad. It was great to get away from the busy city to a small town atmosphere.

What you'd expect from a UP hotel. We went here after another local place put us in a dirty room. Staff was nice. Breakfast is minimal but is there. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Price is a bit on thr high side

Cedarville Hotel – Because in the Upper Peninsula, free parking is not a perk… it’s a constitutional right. I recently stayed at the Cedarville Hotel in Cedarville, Michigan, and let me just say: if a hotel in the Upper Peninsula didn’t have free parking, we would need to convene an emergency town meeting and possibly involve the governor. Thankfully, Cedarville Hotel understands the fundamentals of civilized travel: Free parking (as nature intended) Clean, quiet rooms Comfortable beds Great location near Lake Huron and the Les Cheneaux Islands My room was spotless, peaceful, and perfectly set up for both relaxing and recharging after a day of exploring the UP. The bed was so comfortable I briefly considered canceling my plans and becoming a long-term resident. The Wi-Fi worked flawlessly (a rare and beautiful thing in remote Michigan), and the air conditioning handled summer like a champ. The continental breakfast was exactly what you want before a day of hiking, boating, or pretending you’re going to kayak but actually just eating pastries and admiring Lake Huron. Coffee? Yes. Breakfast options? Yes. Existential dread? None. The hotel’s location in downtown Cedarville is ideal — close to restaurants, shops, and the ferry area for the Les Cheneaux Islands. It’s a perfect home base for couples, families, and anyone who believes vacations should involve fresh air and zero stress. Also worth mentioning: this is a pet-friendly hotel, which means your dog can enjoy the UP too (and probably judge you for sleeping in later than them). Check-in was easy, staff were friendly and helpful, and the entire place felt thoughtfully run — like someone actually cares if guests have a good stay (which is oddly refreshing in 2026). Bottom line: If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, affordable hotel in Cedarville, Michigan near Lake Huron and the Les Cheneaux Islands, the Cedarville Hotel is a slam dunk. It has everything you need and none of what you don’t — including parking fees, nonsense, or drama. I would absolutely stay here again… assuming they continue to honor the sacred UP tradition of free parking. Highly recommend. Five stars. Would park here again.

Room was nice and clean and comfortable actually had to leave early and they were very accommodating to me. Usually try to stay here at least 2 or 3 times a year.

We had a comfortable stay. The room is spacious and well appointed with a mini fridge and microwave. The Continental breakfast was all we needed, and the coffee was good. We would stay here again.
